- The state is broken into 9 regional economic development organizations
- The goal of Milwaukee 7 is to help existing companies expand and grow while also attracting new companies to the region.
- Milwaukee 7 is working to attract new companies to the region to increase jobs.
- The Milwaukee 7 region currently has the 3rd largest concentration of manufacturing employment among large U.S. metros.
- Focus on electrical component manufacturing
- There are 27 new projects in the M7 region which has an average wage of $72,490.
- The current average salary is about 20% more than the region. ($60,500 v. $50,349)
- New land for development is available between Franklin and the Illinois border.
- The Village of Mount Pleasant has $1.2 billion dollars in infrastructure to accommodate new projects.
