On Tuesday, CARW President and CEO participated in a hearing concerning the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT)’s 2017-19 Biennial Budget Proposal. Among the others in attendance, were the Wisconsin Counties Association; Wisconsin League of Municipalities ; Wisconsin Towns Association; Wisconsin Railroad Association; Wisconsin Commercial Ports Association; Transportation Development Association of Wisconsin; Association of Wisconsin Tourism Attractions; Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation; Waukesha Business Alliance; Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce; Wisconsin Urban and Rural Transit Association and Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce among others. Transportation funding has been a top priority of CARW and many organizations fighting for sustainable funding for highways, roads and infrastructure. CARW recently joined the DRIVE coalition to stay abreast of developments related to transportation funding solutions and participated in the testimony with the MMAC (Metropolitan Milwaukee Area Chamber of Commerce).
