Dear CARW Members,
Thank you to those who have helped our market and our State develop a solution for our data needs since the filing of the Xceligent bankruptcy on December 14th. As a result, we are pleased to announce important timelines and support details for the Wisconsin Data Exchange supported by CARW, researched by REDIComps and powered by Catylist. Our leadership was proactive in reaching out to other markets and Wisconsin users to determine a sustainable, creative, and flexible solution for Wisconsin. We begin with the premise that the most successful exchange is one where the market is fully supportive of the technology, population of listings and verification of the research. That said, we are working towards bringing on ALL of WISCONSIN onto one platform.
Key points:
Support: This product is fully- researched.
The support of this solution will be driven by two well-known individuals in the marketplace: Josh Parrish on research, and James Bertolli on support. Both were formerly with Xceligent and are well-known throughout the state. We are grateful for the continuity that this will bring. In addition, three other market researchers have been retained from Xceligent.
Access: You have access NOW.
REDI/Catylist is offering free access to the new Exchange system while we continue rebuilding the properties, sales, and listings data. Register for an account (https://carw.com/join-the-carw-exchange/) today and enjoy posting your needs/wants, and the Broadcast for association-wide or targeted marketing of your listings. Also note that services are offered at no charge until the entire platform is up and running. No payment information will be taken. *Note that the public access will be and is significantly different from the broker-driven product.
Timeline: Our goal is to open the gate to data access on January 12.
The base market data for Southeastern Wisconsin and Madison has been built out to date. Listings are being populated as they are being sent in by the membership and the system will go live when sufficient listings have been populated, which will increase immediately once the researchers hit the ground January 8th. We have commitment from the researched firms that listings will be populated and updated. The target launch date for the mail exchange is January 12th but we encourage you to login now to set the account up so the access is seamless. Any solution would have required a ground-up rebuild and we are fortunate to have located a group who had much of the infrastructure and data.
Fees: No fees until we are fully up and running. Members receive discounts.
The CARW solution has negotiated favorable terms for the product and will be offering member pricing at a significant discount. Our negotiations have brought the final cost to a number far less than that of other products and even the Xceligent offering. Subscribers will only incur charges once the system is fully running. Many of you prepaid for services with Xceligent and are tepid on jumping into a new system. REDI/Catylist understands that and wants to earn your loyalty.
We need YOU:
With your help of sending us your availabilities https://carw.com/wisconsin-listings-submission-spreadsheet/, we are hoping to have enough data populated in the system to open the access to the data on the 12th of January!
The purpose of the Wisconsin Data Exchange has and will remain:
- To facilitate the marketing and listing of property, sales, leases, etc. for users and non-users;
- Serve as a marketing platform for users (similar to the Xceligent CDX);
- Allow firms to display listings on their websites through the property listings tool;
- Offer the Wisconsin marketplace researched data;
- Produce quarterly market reports containing analytics;
- Serve as a broker-owned and research driven tool for brokers and the marketplace.
Thank you again and we look forward to moving this forward! Contact me with questions.
Thank you,
Ben Adank, 2017/18 CARW Chariman
