Searching for certain space types:
Find more spaces by using this simple trick: When performing a search for lease spaces select the “Space type” leaving property/bldg-type unchecked. This will result in more spaces in your search results.
An example is that say you have a client that is looking for office space. They are fine with that space being in a retail building, or typically lower rent industrial property. When ‘Office’ is selected in the space type section you will find Office spaces that are available in retail, industrial, and multi-family buildings. If you check retail for property/bldg then you will only get retail spaces available in retail buildings.
The other advantage is if you want to search specifically for retail space in an office building you will select the office for the building type and retail for the space type. This will drive the search for retail space that is available only in an office bldg. This is true for all types of available space and not just retail.
