Moody’s CLS Score
We currently include a “CLS” score with every property. The CLS score takes into account component factors for the location including business vitality, economic prosperity, amenity, spatial demand, transportation, and safety. CLS was created to help commercial real estate professionals gain a quick understanding of the major factors that affect the value of a location. It’s designed as a means to consistently evaluate a location’s suitability/desirability for a particular user based on a number of factors.

How does the model work?
We utilize a wide variety of data sources and modern technologies from multiple disciplines including finance, geospatial analyses, and information science. We use a systematic approach focusing on key factors affecting location evaluation along six major dimensions. Each of these factors can be quantified in an objective manner based on fine-grain data collected from various sources.
