Earlier this year, CARW surveyed members to better understand what technology tools are being used across commercial real estate—and where there’s room to grow. With 21 responses from brokers across Wisconsin, the results highlighted both strong habits and clear opportunities for advancement.
Key Takeaways:
Data and Market Analysis: Members are eager to build skills in data platforms like Tableau, ESRI (ArcGIS), Compstak, Placer.ai, and Cherre—powerful tools for site selection, mapping, and client presentations that are still underused.
Widespread Use: Tools like CoStar, LoopNet, MetroMLS, Moody’s, and CREXI remain widely adopted across the industry.
Limited CRM Adoption: Platforms such as Salesforce, Apto, ReThink, and HubSpot saw low use, with up to 80% of brokers reporting “no need.” Many still rely on spreadsheets or manual systems, suggesting demand for streamlined, CRE-specific CRM tools.
What’s Next?
While there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to success in CRE, the survey reveals opportunities to help members maximize their tools and strengthen industry connectivity. These results will guide future CARW programming focused on smart, practical tech adoption. If you haven’t completed the survey yet, there’s still time. Share your input and help us identify the resources that matter most to your business.
