On March 24, 2020, Wisconsin imposed a “Safer at Home” order, requiring Wisconsin residents to “stay at home or a place of residence” unless they met one of the few exceptions. Many businesses were required to shut down or move online entirely.
Real estate services were among the businesses considered to be “essential” and were allowed to continue to operate as long as important safety protocols were followed. This was a huge win for real estate professionals and the industry as a whole because it allowed you to stay engaged with clients who were, themselves, deemed essential including manufacturing and healthcare.
Being deemed “essential” is a result of our organization’s diligent efforts and work behind the scenes in the Wisconsin Capitol and only possible because of contributions through the REALTORS Political Action Committee which supports efforts that help our industry thrive.
