The Wisconsin spring election is now just days away – April 7th. There are several important elections on the ballot and many referendums for voters to consider. While at this moment, we know that the polls will remain open for in-person voting, there has been a big push for absentee voting.
Absentee Voting Through April 2nd:
Earlier this week, the WRA released a step-by-step instruction guide to walk you through the process of requesting an absentee ballot.
This process is still available to voters until April 2, and you can read those step-by-step instructions online here.
Early Voting Options:
If you are not in a position to request a ballot and are not interested in visiting the polls in person on Election Day, there is still an option to ensure your voice is heard in this election.
Throughout the state, early in-person voting is available. We have added additional instructions to help you navigate the ability to vote early in person in your municipality. The step-by-step instructions for how to participate in early in-person voting are online here.
Voting In Person:
Find your polling place here and view what is on your ballot.
The Ballot:
This is a Presidential Preference Primary on the ballot. Read more about that here.
One Statewide election is that for Wisconsin Supreme Court. Justice Dan Kelly versus Judge Jill Karofsky. They are running for a ten-year term on the Wisconsin Supreme Court in a nonpartisan race. More here.
There will also be a Statewide constitutional referendum on the ballot – Marsy’s Law which is a crime victim’s rights amendment. More here.
In addition, Milwaukee County will select its next County Executive as Chris Abele steps down at the end of his term. Two candidates running include Representative David Crowley and Senator Chris Larson. We were able to record interviews with both of them and had questions submitted from the public affairs committee and board. View their pre-recorded videos below:
