What is your Hometown?
Quebec, Canada, My father worked for GE Medical and our family was transferred to Milwaukee when I was seven (I couldn’t speak a word of English – only French). I have two brothers: Yves and Pierre.
What was your childhood dream job?
Opera Singer (I studied classical voice as a teenager).
What is your favorite moment of your career so far?
Joining Chicago Title.
What was your first real job?
Sales person at a store called The Tie Rack at Southridge Mall in Greendale. The store walls were lined with men’s ties. They also offered wallets, tie pins, handkerchiefs, men’s cologne. There was an old gentleman (very old) who used to stop in regularly – always dressed to the nines and walked with a cane.
If you had not chosen your present career, what would you be doing?
Hopefully singing with an opera company.
What is the one item you cannot live without (besides your cellphone)?
A bottle of perfume.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
Read classic novels and historical writings, cook, watch vintage movies, listen to opera.
What is the top issue CARW should be tackling as an organization?
The connection of newer, younger professionals in the industry with the older and more seasoned allowing for opportunities to mutually educate one another on social media/technology and the art of interpersonal relations.
How has membership with CARW been of value to you?
As a resource, it has offered access to industry updates and trends. As a networking forum, it provides opportunity to stay in touch with my peers and make new connections.
