Wish I was sharing with you an innovative way to be a virtual commercial real estate broker after this experience but I’m not. That being said; it’s apparent now more than ever how much I rely on my professional network and enjoy being social in general. It’s been interesting to collaborate with industry colleagues and clients in a new way and I appreciate the concerted effort from CARW to keep us connected and informed. This is uncharted territory for every single one of us.
A couple of deals I had in the works just prior to the “safer at home” order being issued are Penzeys Spices with their new downtown location in the Iron Block Building on the corner of Water St. & Wisconsin Ave. and the other is a national tenant – BBJ Linens moving to the Artisan Building in Walker’s Point. I’d like to thank the folks at the City of Milwaukee and the contractors for continuing to work together to complete these tenant build-outs. Can only imagine the influx in workload and changes in procedure they’re experiencing and I think the response has been commendable. Both build-outs continue to move forward and in a perfect world these companies will open their doors to the public on June 1st. Like everything else, it’s just too soon to tell.
I find myself thinking of how wonderful it will be to see one another again but in the meantime, keep doing what you do…however you’re doing it!
