National and Local Experts bring Best Practices, Insights to ICSC/CARW Retail Event
Robin Lewis of Robin Report and Tom Carrico of Mills slated to speak
MILWAUKEE – Commercial Association of REALTORS® Wisconsin (CARW), in partnership with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) bring the annual retail conference to Potawatomi Hotel Wednesday April 18th from 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. The event will feature national retail expert Robin Lewis (The Robin Report), Tom Carrico (Mills Fleet Farm) and John Gurda (local historian) along with dozens of local and national roundtable presenters and retailers including Burger King, Kohls, and Kwik Trip among others. This is Wisconsin’s largest retail event with more than 300 expected. It is presented by Landmark Credit Union and Innovative Construction Solutions.
“With so much attention on the evolving retail sector, this year’s focus will be on the best-practices for growth and insights on what the future holds,” said Scott Satula, this year’s retail event immediate past-chair. “We saw a lot of local interest from retailers, developers, and municipalities,” Satula added. “Retail is essential to our communities and to our lives, it will always be here.”
In addition to a retailer site-selection panel in the afternoon, municipalities will showcase their community development opportunities throughout the day. Five roundtable sessions will feature topics including: virtual reality, the Bucks Entertainment District, the Amazon effect, construction costs, grocery trends and more.
