Scott Harford is a Capital Markets Sales Coordinator at Cushman & Wakefield | Boerke, where he facilitates deal progression and manages the end-to-end transaction process. Scott supports property and lease underwriting, gathers industry insights, and aids in maintaining client relationships to drive success for the Capital Markets team.
Scott began his career at The Boerke Company in July 2022. Before his current role, he was a Business Insurance intern at M3 Insurance in Milwaukee. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Commercial Real Estate from Marquette University, where he actively participated in the Commercial Real Estate Club and served as treasurer for Marquette Mardi Gras, a volunteer organization dedicated to natural disaster relief. In his free time, Scott enjoys volunteering with Habitat for Humanity in Milwaukee & Waukesha County, biking, and playing basketball.
Q) What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
A) What I enjoy most about commercial real estate is the dynamic nature of the industry. Every deal is unique, presenting new challenges and learning opportunities. I thrive on analyzing market trends and identifying potential in assets that can benefit clients, support my team, and contribute to broader economic growth. The collaborative aspect, working alongside teams to structure and execute deals, keeps me motivated, and I enjoy seeing the tangible impacts our work has on communities and local economies. Additionally, the relationship-building with clients and industry professionals adds a rewarding, personal dimension to the work that I find deeply fulfilling.
Q) What is the best piece of advice you have received?
A) The best piece of advice I’ve received is to approach every opportunity with a mindset of continuous learning. In commercial real estate, the market is always evolving, and each deal, client interaction, or challenge presents a chance to gain new insights. This perspective has helped me stay adaptable, curious, and motivated to keep improving. Embracing a growth mindset has not only been invaluable in building my career but also in navigating complex projects and assiting in finding creative solutions for our clients.

Q) What made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
A) I chose commercial real estate because of the blend of strategy, market dynamics, and tangible impact it offers. The opportunity to work on assets that shape communities, from multifamily to industrial and office properties, is incredibly rewarding. I was drawn to the challenge of analyzing market trends, identifying value-add opportunities, and building relationships with clients and industry professionals. Commercial real estate allows me to leverage my finance background while engaging in a constantly evolving industry, and I’m inspired by how our work contributes to economic growth and development at a local and regional level.
Q) What do you hope to get out of your NextGen Experience?
A) Through the CARW NextGen Class of 2025, I hope to deepen my understanding of the commercial real estate landscape in Wisconsin, learning from industry leaders and peers who bring diverse experiences and insights. I’m excited to broaden my skill set, particularly in areas like market analysis, client strategy, and deal structuring. This program offers a unique opportunity to build connections within the local CRE community, and I’m looking forward to collaborating with other NextGen participants to tackle challenges and explore innovative approaches together. Ultimately, I hope to emerge from the experience better equipped to drive value for my teams clients and to make meaningful contributions to Wisconsin’s CRE market.
