Justin Pantle
My name is Justin Pantle and I work for BEAR Construction. I grew up approximately 20 minutes south of the Illinois/Wisconsin Border. One of my favorite pastimes is enjoying the company of friends and family snowmobiling and boating in Northern Wisconsin. Growing up I played travel hockey all over the country and eventually played in college for all 4 years of my education. I recently purchased my first home, which has kept me extremely busy with new projects. I started with BEAR as an intern in 2019 and was lucky enough to be welcomed back approximately 2 years ago.
Q) What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
A) My favorite part of commercial real estate is being able to help deliver a refreshed space to a tenant. When we begin working with the leasing team, we bring to the table budgetary estimates for construction based on a rough floor plan. BEAR team members spend time evaluating how we can both save cost for our clients via value engineering and deliver a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Once construction drawings are developed, we get to work providing a comprehensive estimate that encompasses the needs of our client. Once we get approval, we get to work on the space itself. Thankfully, at the end of each project, we get to see the space come to life and serve its intended purpose.
Q) What’s your favorite place to travel to?
A) My favorite place to travel is our Lakehouse in Minocqua Wisconsin. We enjoy snowmobiling, boating, and eating fish fry on Fridays!
Q) Which projects are you involved in/most excited about?
A) The most exciting project I am involved in is the O’neil Cannon Hollman Dejong & Laing office expansion. When OCHDL decided to hire us for their office buildout we got to work cutting a hole in between the 14th and 15th floor for their decorative staircase. The renovation consisted of a new staircase, a new breakroom, and new bright finishes throughout.
Q) If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would it be?
A) I would love to have lunch with Arnold Schwarzenegger. I think he has a lot of interesting life experiences and would love to hear stories of his past!
Q) What do you hope to get out of your NextGen Experience?
A) I am looking forward to learning about the other facets of commercial real estate that I may not be familiar with. While we spend alot of time being involved in the construction aspect of each deal, we do not see what happens behind the scenes with lending, legal, or the brokerage team.
