Jeremy Bermke

Leasing Manager

Cypress Equities, LLC

I have been working in regional shopping centers for ten years covering key roles such as a Security Director for 7yrs, Leasing Manager for 3yrs, and recently in February of 2022 as General Manager.

With my experiences in many roles within the industry, I offer a wide range of knowledge, skills, and what I consider most important of all, real-life experience.

Identifying critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication as my area of expertise. This grants me the ability to adapt to any surroundings, tasks, and teams I am involved with.

As a father of three amazing boys, I have been given the gift of purpose and is an essential driving point for me to be my best self every day, everywhere I go. The only limits we have are the ones we place on ourselves.

Check out how Jeremy answered some of our questions –

Q) What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
A) For me it is all about the people I get to meet. The industry as a whole attracts so many great people, entrepreneurs, and people who want to make a positive impact in their community and people’s lives around them. Everyone seems to have a mentor, a path, and goals, and we all seem to be on this journey of success as it’s defined by each individual person.

Q) What is the best piece of advice you have received?
A) Look for adventure, not safety and security. Best to live 30yrs happy and full of adventure than 60yrs huddled in a corner.

Q) What is your favorite quote?
A) To be successful, you must be willing to do the things today others won’t do in order to have the things tomorrow others won’t have.
-Les Brown

Q) Where did you grow up?
A) I moved a few times throughout my childhood, living in Milwaukee, West Allis, New Berlin, and Muskego but always in Wisconsin.

Q) What was cool when you were growing up but isn’t cool now?
A) Goosebumps, I finally feel what it is like to spark a conversation with your child about something that you grew up watching or doing and their response is “what or who is that”?!

Q) What’s your favorite place to travel to?
A) Universal Studios & Disney land as I am truly a big kid at heart.

Q) Which projects are you involved in/most excited about?
A) Bayshore is a great property having a residential, office, and several different types of retail options. It feels amazing to be a part of something that brings so much value to the community.

Q) If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would it be?
A) Jim Rohn, if he were still with us hands down! Tony Robbins though since he is alive and all.

Q) What made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
A) Commercial Real Estate is something I fell in love with over time. With a large portion of my education in Criminal Justice, I set out with a goal to help people. While on my journey I was offered a different path as a temporary side road to take, 4 years later I never got off that road and do not intend to.

Q) What is a goal you would like to accomplish within your Commercial Real Estate career?
A) I want to create a foundation of knowledge and success that I will be able to utilize as a platform to show my children a path less traveled, maybe offer them a chance to follow in my footsteps and if they have it in their hearts then they will love this industry as well. It’s my dream to be a mentor to my children and others, I want to become so successful that I get the opportunity to utilize my resources, knowledge and time to help change the lives of other people trying to travel the same journey I did throughout my career and life
