Q) What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
A) I love to see the difference I make within my community. There’s always joy in turning a brownfield or a vacant property into an asset for the community.
Q) What is the best piece of advice you have received?
A) Set well-defined goals for yourself in writing, and reflect regularly.
Q) What is your favorite quote?
A) “The place where you made your stand never mattered. Only that you were there…and still on your feet.”—Stephan King (The Stand)
One of my favorite books by Stephan King.
Q) Where did you grow up?
A) I grew up in Bloomer, WI, which is the jump rope capital of the world!
Q) What was cool when you were growing up but isn’t cool now?
A) I grew up in the era where bootcut jeans and bellbottoms were a thing, I walked around with a portable CD player, and AOL messenger was a thing (if you were lucky enough to have dial-up internet.
Q) What’s your favorite place to travel to?
A) I enjoy variety, and that makes it difficult for me to pick one place as a favorite. So I’d have to pick New York City because it not only has everything you’d want foodwise, but every visit there is completely different.
Q) If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would it be?
A) Stephen Cobert
Q) What made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
A) I love the city of Milwaukee and want to be able to make a positive impact in my community. After some experience in the environmental industry, I believe that the best way that I can improve the Milwaukee area is by redeveloping brownfields and other underutilized properties.
Q) What is a goal you would like to accomplish within your Commercial Real Estate career?
A) I don’t think I have a set goal. I just want to continue improving the greater Milwaukee area by redeveloping underutilized properties.
Q) What do you hope to get out of your NextGen Experience?
A) I’d like to learn more about the real estate industry in order to figure out how my experience and education can be best utilized.
