6 Questions with Drew
Q: Which projects are you most excited about?
A: With all the amazing projects going on in Milwaukee, answering this question is tough. However, if I had to pick one project that gets me most excited would certainly be the Deer District. While I am excited the Buck’s finally get to call the Fiserv Forum a new home, the surrounding development is what gets me most excited. I remember coming downtown as a kid to come see a game and they city was quiet, however now you can come downtown, and the variety of entertainment and activity is endless. I look forward to the continued development of not only downtown but Milwaukee as a whole.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant?
A: Wow, this is a loaded question as I am a big food junkie. I do not have a favorite as I am interested in trying any new food concept that comes to the city.
Q: What made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
A: My decision to make commercial real estate a career was a leap of faith. In my sophomore year of college, I was sitting in my academic advisor’s office wanting to add something to my marketing degree, but I didn’t know exactly what. I enrolled in a few non-business classes and realized quick that those were not for me. I was looking through the business class list and saw that I only needed to take a few classes to gain a real estate certificate. I enrolled in Introduction to Real Estate and stuck with it ever sense. It was those courses I took and relationships I made that helped guide me into choosing brokerage as my focus in the business.
Q: What is one word that comes to mind when you think of CARW?
A: Knowledge. CARW does a great job of connecting all the segments of the business together through networking events, lunch and learns, happy hours, etc. I enjoy every aspect of those events but what I cherish most is the new piece of knowledge/relationship I take away at the conclusion of each event.
Q: What is your biggest takeaway from our NextGen meetings?
A: Personally, I cannot think of any takeaway that outweighs one from the other. Each meeting is as equally important as the next, and I value each piece of advice that each presenter gives.
Q: If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would it be?
A: Having lunch with Jordy Nelson would be an absolute dream of mine and not because I am a huge sports or Packer fan, rather how he presents himself professionally off the field. He has always been a role model of mine and I strive to present myself in a similar manner.
