Dan Palec is the Director of Research at Cushman & Wakefield | Boerke, where he oversees the firm’s best in class research department which maintains the firm’s market intelligence databases, identifies, and forecasts economic and real estate trends, and produces quarterly research papers. He also provides property and lease underwriting analysis for the firm’s brokerage teams. Dan joined Cushman & Wakefield | Boerke in 2021 as a Market Research Analyst Intern in the firm’s Madison office where he created new comprehensive property databases, contributing to the firm’s growing presence in the region. He then quickly rose to the position of Senior Research & Financial Analyst, and ultimately Director of Research. Dan earned his B.B.A in Marketing & Management, and MS in Real Estate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the prestigious Graaskamp Center for Real Estate. During his time in school, Dan was a trumpet player in the University of Wisconsin Marching Band.

A) Wauwatosa, WI
Q) What was cool when you were growing up but isn’t cool now?
A) Playing outside until the streetlights came on was cool, but staying out past then was even cooler!
Q) What is a goal you would like to accomplish within your Commercial Real Estate career?
A) One of my primary goals within my commercial real estate career is to not only achieve personal success but also to leverage the knowledge and expertise I gain to become a leader in our region. I am passionate about using my skills to address and solve important issues that impact our community. By staying informed about industry trends and continuously improving my capabilities, I aim to drive positive change and contribute to the development of innovative solutions that benefit both the industry and the people we serve.
Q) What do you hope to get out of your NextGen Experience?
A) Through my participation in the NextGen program, I hope to achieve a deeper understanding of the commercial real estate ecosystem by connecting with new professionals and learning about their unique roles and how we all contribute to the broader CRE landscape. I am excited to exchange insights and build meaningful relationships that will enhance my knowledge and perspective.
