Calli Berg is a Certified Economic Developer as certified by the International Economic Development Council and an Economic Development Finance Professional as certified by the National Development Council. She had 19 years of experience as an economic development practitioner in Michigan prior to becoming the Director of Economic Development for the City of Franklin, Wisconsin in June of 2018.
Calli grew up in Wauwatosa and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a BBA in Marketing then spent ten years in the Technical Writing and Technical Training fields prior to becoming an economic developer. Calli believes that both her marketing degree and her experience in technical communications enhance her practice of economic development.
Calli is eager to connect with the real estate community in southeast Wisconsin and gain a deeper understanding of how development works best in the greater Milwaukee region in order to facilitate quality projects to and smart development in the City of Franklin.

Q: Which projects are you most excited about?
A: I get excited about projects that help companies locate or grow in Franklin, particularly when I can help resolve ongoing issues that a business is experiencing.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant?
A: Any sushi restaurant or my own kitchen – I consider myself an amateur home cook and love most of the food I create.
Q: What made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
A: Real Estate is the only asset that will outlive us all and the source for most business opportunities in the economic development arena.
Q: What is one word that comes to mind when you think of CARW?
A: Resource
Q: If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would it be?
A: Barrack Obama. As the youngest living former President, it would be fascinating to pick his brain on politics and policies and understand the lessons he learned while President, all from the fresh perspective that comes with the passage of time.
