On Wednesday, May 12th CARW hosted the One Year Later | Ten Years Beyond event at the brand new Brookfield Conference Center. Waukesha County Executive kicked it off welcome CARW to Waukesha with encouraging words and focusing on economic recovery for the county. We heard from Keynote Speaker, Geoffrey Kasselman, SIOR, LEED, AP – Business Futurist and commercial real estate developer. Geoffrey highlighted key takeaways post pandemic and how he saw the world changing within the next ten years. His predictions were bold, and sometimes seemed impossible, but that is the world we are living in. With Moore’s Law and ever changing technology, changes are exponentially faster than they ever were before.
After Geoffrey’s keynote, we heard from a local reaction panel comprised of Tina Chang, CEO of Syslogic, John Florsheim, President of the Weyco Group, Bernie Sherry, SVP Ministry Market Executive, Acsension Wisconsin, Nancy Hernandez, President & Founder of Abrazo, David Kriete, President & CEO, The Kriete Group, and Nick Egelanian, President of Siteworks. These local leaders provided great insight and responses to Geoffrey’s predictions for the next ten years. Some agreed and some disagreed – but we will have to see how the next ten years shake out to see who was correct!
It was great to see everyone in person and network with those who attended the post event happy hour. We are looking forward to seeing more of you and getting back to “normal” throughout 2021!
