Q: Which projects are you most excited about?
A: Not entirely sure if this project is still in the works but I’m excited to watch the renovations of the Humphrey Scottish Rite Masonic Center into a hotel. That building has incredible character and I’m interested to see how the hotel tower will highlight the charm of the existing building.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant?
A: This changes quite frequently. Right now I love Santino’s down in Bayview; such a neat environment with great Italian food.
Q: What Made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
A: I had quite a roundabout college career. Through one of my several major changes I had to take an introductory real estate course. Through that course I was introduced to Dr. Eppli and Chris Korjenek who helped me develop a passion for our industry.
Q: What is one word that comes to mind when you think of CARW?
A: Hustle. I have never seen Tracy, Davis or Layla take a break. Each day they’re putting in 110% to ensure that all of the events, legislative efforts & membership activities go off without a hitch. That word of course applies to the board of directors and past chairmen. These are dedicated professionals working to strengthen our industry and broaden our impact to the wider community.
Q: What is your biggest takeaway from our NextGen meetings?
A: Everyone in brokerage operates their business differently. My biggest take away from our NextGen meetings is how to manage my own personal brand. With tips on time management, inter-disciplinary relationships, and business development these meetings allow me to gain different approaches to the building and how I can incorporate these perspectives into my day to day operations.
Q: If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would it be?
A: I don’t think I’d be able to pass up the opportunity to grab lunch with the world’s most interesting man, Bruce Westling.
CARW NextGen began in early 2017 and was designed for commercial real estate professionals with five or fewer years in the industry. We have a mix of professionals from brokers in every sector and finance professionals. The team meets monthly and hears from panels of seasoned professionals from a variety of areas in the commercial real estate space. From architects to developers and engineers to elected officials; this group is gaining new insights and access to a variety of information and people who help make them more effective in their careers.
