On Wednesday, May 9, the CARW NextGen class welcomed networking guru, Mervyn Byrd, Vice President of Sales & leadership Development at Waukesha County Business Alliance.
He shared with the NextGen group his experience in networking situations, the challenges with it in his career and insight on how to become a better networker. A few memorable take-aways from our NextGen Class included:
- What to talk about while networking and to not view it as networking.
- Networking is not selling.
- How to enter and exit a group discussion.
Each month, the NextGen group will gather to hear from a panel representing a variety of disciplines. In June, the group will be introduced to construction cost, quality and schedule and which construction delivery method is best to use.
