Stephen is an associate on Mallery’s real estate and finance team, assisting clients on a variety of real estate, finance, and transactional matters. Before joining Mallery, s.c. Stephen was an intern at two title insurance companies in Milwaukee. Stephen received his undergraduate degree from Marquette University’s College of Business Administration in 2021, with a major in real estate. He was accepted into Marquette’s Pre-Law Scholar Program where he began law school during his senior year of undergraduate study. Stephen also attended Marquette University for Law School and received his Juris Doctor in 2023. While attending Marquette Law, he was involved in the Real Estate Law Society and was a Student Associate in Marquette’s Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic. Additionally, Stephen was inducted into the Pro Bono Society where he volunteered most of his time working in the Small Business Clinic.
Q) What do you enjoy most about Commercial Real Estate?
A) I enjoy working on deals with repeat players in the Milwaukee area and growing rapport with them. Additionally, I like the ability to see tangible projects I worked on.
Q) What is the best piece of advice you have received?
A) The best professional advice I have ever received is to never be afraid to ask questions. Being curious does not always mean you do not know what is going on, but instead means you want to improve.
Q) What is your favorite quote?
A) “You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.” – Wayne Gretzky
Q) Where did you grow up?
A) I grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Q) What was cool growing up but isn’t cool now?
A) Growing up, it used to be cool to have an iPod for music and a separate flip phone with a keyboard for texting.
Q) If you could have lunch with anyone, who would it be?
A) Steve Irwin because I loved his accent and hearing him talk about animals.
Q) What is a goal you would like to accomplish within Commercial Real Estate?
A) I would love to understand a real estate transaction from every perspective involved in the deal.
Q) What do you hope to get out of your membership with CARW?
A) I’m excited to be involved with an organized group like CARW to build my network and establish new relationships. I believe actively being involved in CARW and getting to know all the parties and personalities in the organization will help me get more involved in the greater Milwaukee real estate community.
