Q) What do you enjoy most about Commercial Real Estate?
A) Honestly, to me it’s the people, the deal, and seeing it all come together. The people you meet along the way and the connections that are formed are second to none. You meet people in deals who are now part of your journey that you work with on a regular basis helping form future deals, connections, and most of all friends within the industry.
Q) What is the best piece of advice you have received?
A) “We don’t fail because of our lack of resources; we fail due to our lack of resourcefulness.” – Tony Robbins. Our network and knowledge allow us to succeed when we use them. But without being able to call on our resources for help, we will all fail.
Q) What is your favorite quote?
A) “Work harder on yourself than you do on your work.” – Jim Rohn. Personal development is the key to success in life. Not just business, but life. If you do not take time to work on yourself and grow as an individual, you will go through life without purpose. Find your purpose.
Q) Where did you grow up?
A) Kenosha, WI in the 90’s and 00’s, before it became the growing town and northern IL landing spot it has become. Growth is great as a rising tide raises all ships, but I grew up in the world’s biggest small town and miss it at times.
Q) What is your favorite place to travel to?
A) For warmth, the Keys or really anywhere in the Caribbean. However, my heart and passion lie are in the wilderness with hunting and fishing adventures. The golden rule of travel is no keys, no phone, no wallet.
Q) If you could have lunch with anyone, who would it be?
A) My late grandmother. She was my best friend and one of my biggest supporters as a wild child growing up with big dreams. I don’t think a lunch would be enough to tell her about it all and ask for grown adult advice as a parent now, but I’d sure try!
Q) What made you choose CRE?
A) I didn’t choose this life; this life chose me! But seriously, ending up in this industry has been one of the best happy accidents of my life.
Q) What do you hope to get out of your membership with CARW?
A) I look forward to getting to know more people in the industry, growing my network, and exploring how I can provide value to others in the community as a General Contractor.
