Grace’s interest in law began during her finance and economics studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Intensive courses in investment banking sparked her curiosity about the legalities
of transactions and tax implications, leading her to pursue a legal career.
During law school, Grace gained valuable experience as an assistant coach for the University of Wisconsin–Madison Women’s Rowing Team and competed as a high-performance athlete for the United States National Rowing Team. These roles honed her discipline, resilience, and strategic thinking.
Drawn to the intricate deal work that combines her finance background with law, Grace finds motivation in working on real estate deals that benefit communities. Her role as president of the Business Law Society at Marquette Law School allowed her to connect with local business leaders and transactional attorneys, further deepening her interest in corporate, real estate, tax, and finance law. As the Business Editor of the Marquette Law Review, she developed a solid understanding of financial management and budgeting.
During her time as a summer associate at Husch Blackwell, Grace worked on various projects, including new market tax credit deals, solar energy and natural resources real estate projects, corporate M&A transactions, and commercial financing transactions. An externship with the IRS provided her with a unique perspective on tax law and regulatory compliance, enhancing her ability to anticipate and mitigate risks in structuring transactions.
Grace is known as organized, efficient, and focused on client goals. Her background as a competitive athlete has sharpened her goal-oriented approach and strategic thinking, making her a valuable asset to clients and the firm.
