Name: Eric Slifer
Title: Real Estate Associate
Email: [email protected]
Q: What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
A: I enjoy being out and about in the southern Wisconsin area while working with people that have a growing business or a keen interest in investing.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you have received?
A: Luck comes from hard work. Luck happens when hard work and timing and talent intersect.
Q: What is your favorite quote?
A: No matter what job you have in life, your success will be determined 5% by your academic credentials, 15% by your professional experiences, and 80% by your communications skills.
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: Multiple cities in the Midwest. My formative years were spent in Kansas, where I like to say I learned to be a gentleman, (and a decent dancer).
Q: What was cool when you were growing up but isn’t cool now?
A: Big burnouts, air shocks, shackles, loud exhaust, oversized speakers & loud music.
Q: What’s your favorite place to travel to?
A: Anyplace where my motorcycle takes me. For me it’s not the destination, it’s how you get there.
Q: Which projects are you involved in/most excited about?
A: Tenant representation for co-working laboratory space, as start-up businesses expand and grow to their full potential.
Q: If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would it be?
A: I’d choose to have lunch with George Washington because he was a great army leader. I would like to ask him about how he stayed so motivated and led his troops during such a hard time in history.
Q: What made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
A: I chose this change in my career to Commercial Real Estate to learn more about investors and investment opportunities in this community.
Q: What is a goal you would like to accomplish within your Commercial Real Estate career?
A: To successfully combine my 30+ years of experience as an architectural planner with assisting clients to find their perfect facility so that they are successful in doing what they do best.
Q: What do you hope to get out of your membership with CARW?
A: Networking, education, and general access to great information about Real Estate.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to share with other members?
A: While I learn about the business, some days I feel like I’m drinking from a fire hose, so if you see me and I have a glazed look in my eyes, that’s probably why. I look forward to meeting everyone!
