Join us in welcoming CARW’s new member, Matthew Wellner from Krueger Communications, Inc. See how he answered a few questions from us:
Name: Matthew Wellner
Title: Director of Sales and Marketing
Email: [email protected]
Q: What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
A: The possibilities. Love seeing the unique designs and how a building can fit a company perfectly just by finding the right one!
Q: What is the best piece of advice you have received?
A: Everything in life is about solving problems and bringing value. If you can help solve problems, and bring value to everyone you touch in life the world will be a better place because of it.
Q: What is your favorite quote?
A: “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them” – Andy Bernard from The Office. I really like this show, but the quote is so true, it reminds me to live in the moment.
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: I grew up in Wisconsin, in a small town called Mayville. Most of my family still lives in the area up there. It was a great little city to grow up in. Their fall festival is called Audubon Days and is normally the first full weekend in October. It is such a cool little event where the community comes together to showcase their city. The weekend is kicked off with the bed races on Friday night. Beds are pushed down the main street with a rider onboard. Groups dress in costumes and everyone races for the top prize.
Q: What was cool when you were growing up but isn’t cool now?
A: Starter Jackets. I used to beg for a new one every Christmas, and for some reason, I always wanted a Florida State one. Not sure why I was and always will be a die-hard Badger fan.
Q: What’s your favorite place to travel to?
A: Jamaica. My wife and I got married there and have been back several times since. I love the food, the beaches, people, and coffee! The blue mountain coffee they have there is some of the best I have ever had. We always bring back as much as we can when we come home. Such a fun place and so many great memories!
Q: What do you hope to get out of your membership with CARW?
A: Relationships and networking. I have really grown fond of the Greater Milwaukee Area, and really hoping to develop personal relationships that can get me more in tune with the city I now call home.
