Q: What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
A: In Commercial Real Estate, the glass ceiling doesn’t exist. You’re in total control of your real estate career. No supervisors determine whether or not you get a raise. No annual review decides if you’ll get a promotion. Your determination is the guiding factor in your career advancement.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you have received?
A: Just be me!
Q: What is your favorite quote?
A: “Some men see things as they are, and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not.” – Robert Kennedy
Q: Where did you grow up?
A: Racine, WI
Q: What was cool you were growing up but isn’t cool now?
A: Block parties, we had one almost every year. No one does that anymore…..
Q: What’s your favorite place to travel to?
A: My father would drive us to Lacrosse and we would spend all day and night fishing.
Q: Which projects are you involved in/most excited about?
A: In 2007, the City of Racine received a petition from property owners in Uptown that requested the creation of a business improvement district for the purposes of redeveloping Uptown. This project is long term and is in full swing to this day.
Q. If you could have lunch with anyone in the world, who would it be?
A: I would love to have one more lunch with my parents.
Q: What is a goal you would like to accomplish within your CRE career?
A: Number one is knowledge. I want to know more about my aspect of commercial real estate than anyone else. As a service provider, I strive to be the most genuine voice in my marketplace.
Q: What made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
A: One of the best parts of working in commercial real estate is the people you have the opportunity to work with. All of my clients are typically business owners and decision-makers and I love it. Working with them helps me to expand my knowledge, learn from their successes, and to build connections so we can all help each other down the line.
Q: What do you hope to get out of your membership with CARW?
A: I believe there are four personal characteristics ( Knowledge, Relationships, Commitment, and Integrity) found in top producers. I believe CARW encompasses these four elements.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to share with other members?
A: My inner fortitude to overcome whatever stands between me and my long-term goals, and I don’t let anything distract them from getting ahead. Because of my unwavering focus, however, and remember that not every success in life can be featured on a résumé and that compassion is as important as any professional advancement.
