How did you get started in Commercial Real Estate?
I got my start in Commercial Real Estate during my time at BizTimes Media, working alongside companies in construction, development, and real estate. I was constantly surrounded by the people and projects shaping our communities, and I quickly realized I wanted to be more directly involved. That led me to Hunzinger Construction, where I could take those relationships and turn them into meaningful work.
What is your favorite quote or personal mantra?
What is meant for me will not miss me. It keeps me grounded, focused, and trusting that the right opportunities will come at the right time.
Where did you grow up and how has it shaped who you are today?
I grew up just north of Oconomowoc in a small town called Stone Bank, where my family has lived for five generations on the same homestead. That deep-rooted sense of family, hard work, and community has shaped who I am today and how I approach both my career and relationships.
Where’s your favorite place to travel—or a destination still on your bucket list?
I go to the same resort in Mexico every year, it’s become a second home at this point. I’ve gotten to know so many of the people who work there, and it’s something I look forward to every year. On my bucket list, Thailand is at the top, along with Santa Fe, New Mexico to go hot air ballooning… even though I’m absolutely terrified of heights.
Any fun facts or advice you’d like to share with fellow CARW members?
Outside of work, I stay busy as the lead singer for the band 4 on the Floor and as a competitive bodybuilder, which keeps life interesting and very disciplined. My advice, be yourself, build real relationships, and don’t be afraid to stand out.
