Congratulations to Rebecca Gries at Milwaukee 7! On June 1st, Rebecca will transition into the role of Senior Vice President of Corporate Attraction and Expansion at Milwaukee 7 after Jim Paetsch announced his retirement last week. Gries joined M7 in 2018, marketing the region and assisting companies with their expansion or relocation efforts. In that time, she’s been recognized as a Top 50 Economic Developer in North America in 2022 by Consultant Connect and a 2024 member of the Milwaukee Business Journal’s 40 under 40. According to Dale Kooyenga (MMAC), “Rebecca is a seasoned veteran directly leading more than a dozen successful expansion and relocation projects over the past five years,” said Kooyenga. “She has delivered consistent results for corporate clients, communities, and investors. She is well positioned to take this next step.”
Since its launch, M7 has led efforts in more than 134 corporate expansions or relocations – including Microsoft, Nexus Pharmaceuticals, HARIBO, Milwaukee Tool, Ingeteam and Komatsu – with a combined capital expenditure of over $6.5 billion. These wins have accounted for nearly 30,000 new jobs with a combined payroll of over $1.8 billion. We are excited to see what is next for Milwaukee 7.
