An opportunity that can help CARW members fill vacant properties
You have vacant commercial spaces to fill, and a new program from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) can help you fill them.
The Main Street Bounceback Grants Program offers $10,000 grants to businesses leasing or purchasing previously vacant commercial spaces in Wisconsin’s downtowns and commercial corridors.
These grants are a great opportunity for you to help drive interest in your portfolio of available properties and incentivize potential buyers or tenants to close the deal. It’s a win-win-win situation.
You can find free marketing assets for promoting grant availability at wedc.org/mssbb-toolkit, including:
- Sample email copy and graphics
- A one-sheet program overview
- Pre-sized graphics for LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter
- Suggested language for social media posts
- Contact information for the regional economic development organizations administering the grants
Main Street Bounceback Grants are available to new or expanding businesses that have leased or purchased formerly vacant properties as of January 1, 2021 or will do so by June 30, 2022. We’re asking you to promote the program now because there is limited funding available in each region.
