On Wednesday, July 11, Aaron Hertzberg, Director of Development for Milwaukee County and Mike Zimmerman, CEO of ROC Ventures joined us at the Umbrella Bar at Ballpark Commons in Franklin. The development broke ground in June, 2018. The $125 million mixed-use development and baseball stadium is moving in next to The Rock Sports Complex. They discussed the 4,000-seat stadium, commercial and retail businesses, apartments and various entertainment and active lifestyle features. The stadium will be used by the UW-Milwaukee baseball team and a team from the American Association of Professional Baseball. The first phase of the Ballpark Commons development is planned to open in spring 2019. The process for planning and executing this large-scale project involved many stakeholders from public and private sectors.
