Marcia Kester-Sperber, Uline
Marcia serves as Corporate Real Estate Manager for Uline. Her responsibilities include managing and executing real estate activities for Uline’s North American real estate portfolio, including leases, building acquisitions/dispositions, site selection and property management. Prior to joining Uline in 2017, Marcia served as Senior Director of Asset Management for Brookdale, where she oversaw the Asset Management department comprised of facilities/maintenance, construction and design for 24 of the largest full-continuum care communities in 11 states. Marcia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management, CIS, Speech Communication from the University of Central Missouri.
Don Schoenheider, Hillwood Investment Properties
Don Schoenheider serves as Senior Vice President at Hillwood and as the company’s market leader for the Midwest region. Don has more than 30 years of real estate sales, development and management experience to Hillwood. Based in Chicago, Don manages all functions of the operation for Hillwood and pursues development and investment opportunities in markets such as Indianapolis, Columbus, Detroit, and Milwaukee. Prior to joining Hillwood, Don served as Vice President and City Manager at Liberty Property Trust, where he was responsible for the company’s Chicago/Milwaukee region. An acknowledged expert in industrial development, Don previously served as Managing Partner of Jones Development Company where he launched their Chicago operation focusing on single-tenant, industrial build-to-suits. Don holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Valparaiso University and has done graduate work in Public Administration at the University of Illinois/Springfield.
Ben Conwell, Cushman & Wakefield
Ben is Senior Managing Director and Practice Leader for Cushman & Wakefield’s eCommerce and Electronic Fulfillment Specialty Practice Group for the Americas. His responsibilities include counsel on strategy, site selection, design and execution for leading retail and logistics occupiers and investors, intellectual property presentation and business development. He is a Senior Certified Supply Chain Professional and a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals. Ben serves on the C&W Industrial and Logistics Services Leadership Team and its Executive Committee. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2015, Ben was Director of North America Logistics Real Estate for Amazon Fulfillment Services, the logistics and operations subsidiary of Amazon.com. Ben holds an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a Bachelors from the University of Richmond.
Scott Carpenter, CH Coakley
Carpenter manages the Third Party Logistics (3PL services) division of CH Coakley. These duties encompass maintaining and growing the current interstate van line business and developing comprehensive 3PL services, including 3PL trucking (less than truckload, full truckload, freight forwarding -first/final mile solutions) and advanced local, national and global company warehousing solutions. Carpenter worked for Texas based Tech Trans, where he specialized in value-added freight transportation of medical equipment. During his 20 years of service, Carpenter helped grow the business on a national level from less than a $1 million company to a $60 million business.
