March Lunch & Learn – How Industrial Real Estate is Leading Sustainable Development

Commercial and Industrial companies are increasing their focus on energy generation and carbon footprint. For example, Amazon recently announced a goal of reaching net zero carbon emissions by 2040 and are on a path to powering all of their operations with 100% renewable energy by 2025. If Wisconsin is going to continue to attract investment into the state, the generation of energy must shift from coal and natural gas resources to wind and solar generation. We will hear from Zach Hill at Alliant Energy on their sustainability and renewable efforts and plans for Wisconsin, Sam Dunaiski with Renew Wisconsin on their effort to create policy and programs that support renewable energy generation and Ken Maly with NGFK. Ken works with clients that require renewable energy generation and are looking to locate where they can source 100% of their energy needs with renewable resources.
