WisDOT’s Southeast Freeways 15 Year Vision
April 27, 2015 @ 11:45 am
With forty-three percent of the state’s cargo moving in or out of Southeastern Wisconsin, having unclogged and efficient freeways is crucial to keep the economy moving throughout Wisconsin. WisDOT has an accelerated, economical plan to rebuild southeastern Wisconsin’s aging freeway system that would save taxpayers and residents time and money. This plan would modernize the freeways which provide critical access to Wisconsin jobs, tourism and economic growth, including nearly 25,000 employers located within two miles of the freeway corridors in the Southeast Freeways 15-Year Vision.
WisDOT Southeast Region Director, Brett Wallace, will discuss the Southeast Freeways 15-Year Vision and why a safe and efficient transportation system in southeastern Wisconsin benefits the entire state.
