2019 CARW Rainmaker

Each year, the CARW rainmaker event brings community leaders to the membership to discuss issues related to business insights, leadership, real estate trends and more. This event is one of CARW’s unique program offerings that draws nearly 100 and is meant to be an exclusive offering to members which includes brokers, developers, architects and other commercial real estate service providers. Past speakers have included: Green Bay Packers President Mark Murphy; UW Madison Coach, Barry Alvarez; Hammes Corporation Sports and Entertainment President, Robert Dunn; Former Milwaukee Mayor, John Norquist and RevGroup CEO, Tim Sullivan. This year we welcome Jason Hickey of Hickey & Associates and Dave Spano of Annex Wealth Management to the growing list of influential speakers!
Jason Hickey will speak on how best to create partnerships between public and private entities at local, regional and international Economic Development Forums while highlighting best practices in site selection and business expansion, while Dave Spano will give us an economic update.
About Jason Hickey:
Jason M. Hickey, President of Hickey and Associates, a Global Site Selection and Public Incentive Support Firm representing a diverse set of industries, which includes Consumer Products, Health Care, Aerospace/Defense and Renewable Energy, among many others. Notable clients have included UnitedHealth Group, Lockheed Martin and General Mills.
Jason specializes in location selection strategies, federal incentives, loan guarantees, grants and the creation of other public/private partnerships. While working for the Firm, Jason has also assisted Elected Officials develop public policy recommendations, at both the Federal and State levels, including the White House Domestic Policy Council.
Jason is a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and has served as an Officer of the Northwestern University Alumni Association. Professional service includes the Industrial Asset Management Council’s Site Selection and IAMC 2020 Committee, member of the State of Minnesota Economic Development Cabinet, as well as, a founding partner of the Site Selectors Guild.
