Mayor Stephen Scaffidi led a panel of economic development leaders and elected officials for the CARW NextGen August meeting. Mayor Ehly (Wauwatosa), Mayor Ponto (Brookfield) and Dave Misky from the City of Milwaukee, joined us at the 250 training room to share their experiences working with the commercial real estate industry, issues they have run into, and tips for success in servicing their clients to ensure that projects are completed. They emphasized the importance of communication and more importantly, listening to the needs of clients and teammates. Each of them offered their individual time in the future and shared contact information. Another important resource was highlighted during the discussion – the Public Policy Forum’s latest report on Milwaukee’s reliance on the Property Tax.
