(from the NAR Washington Report) Due to lack of action in Congress, the EB-5 Regional Center Program expired June 30, 2021. So what does this mean exactly?
- The EB-5 Visa Program is STILL a viable visa option for foreign investors to get on a path to citizenship.
- What will no longer be active – as of now – are the regional centers that facilitated the distribution of EB-5 investment resources.
- As of June 22, 2021 a court ruling (link is external) vacated the November 2019 EB-5 Modernization Regulations which raised the minimum investment for EB-5 visas. As a result, the EB-5 investment requirements will revert back to the pre-2019 minimum investment of $500,000.
As any new developments occur in this program, NAR will update. Link HERE
