Demystifying Development
Part 1: The Basics – How Development Actually Works
Tuesday, June 30, 2026
1:30 – 3:00 pm
Development decisions are rarely simple – and today’s local leaders are navigating increasingly complex conversations about growth, investment, infrastructure, and community impact.
That’s why the Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA) is launching a new three-part webinar series: Demystifying Development, which is designed to help economic development professionals, community leaders, and other stakeholders better understand how responsible development decisions are made in Wisconsin.
Throughout the series, we’ll explore a central theme: development is complex. Public input matters, process matters, and Wisconsin’s future prosperity is linked to informed growth – and not reactionary decisions. Whether you work in economic development, local government, planning, or community leadership, this series will provide valuable context and tools for navigating today’s development conversations with confidence.
