On Wednesday, June 12th, Jim Paetsch, Senior Vice President and Executive Director, M7 and Laura Million, Deputy Director, Racine County Economic Development Commission (RCEDC) joined a group of over 70 members for our member-only Coffee with CARW. They discussed the significance of this major investment ($3.3 billion) and how it will shape the state’s economic landscape. Forward-thinking by our Economic Development leaders kept the development of the former FoxConn site’s moving forward with infrastructure which was ultimately a huge factor in bringing Microsoft to Wisconsin, by having a site ready for development. This project should bring at least 2000 Microsoft jobs, 2,300 construction jobs, and a minimum assessed value of $2.4 billion dollars. Additional investments are also being made at local colleges to support their need.
