The Commercial Association of REALTORS® Wisconsin (CARW) will present a Thought Leadership series.
The webinars will feature accomplished business leaders and experts who will share insights as they look beyond the simultaneous crises of the COVID-19 pandemic and economic disruption.
“Our community is resilient and cohesive,” said Tracy Johnson, CARW CEO. “We developed this series as a platform for ideas, resources and information for our leaders as they innovate their businesses to adapt to the challenges and leverage the opportunities created by COVID-19.”
CARW advances the interests of individual practitioners and the commercial real estate industry through education, data, professional development, advocacy, professional standards and business networking.
The webinar series is presented by Landmark Credit Union with production support from Kane Communications Group.

“Executive Roundtable.” A panel discussion featuring four Milwaukee Executives who will share insights about how their organizations are surviving in the recession and their plans to thrive when the economy rebounds. The featured CEOs will include: Ted Balistreri, CEO of Sendik’s Food Market; Kimberly Kane, CEO of Kane Communications Group; and Austin Ramirez, President and CEO of HUSCO International and Rick Schlesinger, President – Business Operations for the Milwaukee Brewers.

“Commercial Real Estate Post-Pandemic.” The featured guest will be Mark Eppli, Ph.D., director of the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Previously, Eppli served as Interim James H. Keyes Dean of Business Administration from 2012 to 2015 and as a professor of finance and Bell Chair in Real Estate at Marquette University. Eppli is an independent board member for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago since 2012, and he is immediate past president of the nonprofit Real Estate Research Institute.

“The Changing Retail Landscape.” The featured guest will be Daniel B. Kline, an accomplished writer, editor and media personality for The Motley Fool. He regularly appears on MarketFoolery, Industry Focus, and hosts multiple hours on the company’s live video service for members. He previously worked for Microsoft on its Finance app and The Boston Globe, where he wrote for the paper and ran the Boston.com business desk.

“The Macroeconomic Outlook.” How deep will the recession get? When will the economy begin to rebound? How will different sectors of the economy be affected? The featured guest will be economist Noah Williams of the Center for Research on the Wisconsin Economy (CROWE). The Center has been following closely, the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. He has published widely, and co-authored several papers with Nobel Prize recipients Lars Peter Hansen and Thomas Sargent.
