Q) How do you describe the Wisconsin Commercial Real Estate Community?
A) The commercial real estate community in Wisconsin embodies what the state is all about. It’s filled with hard working, down to earth, collaborative, and most of all, competent people. I feel fortunate to be surrounded by such a knowledgeable group of professionals that are open to constant collaboration.
Q) What has been your favorite CARW event and why?
A)The SIOR Industrial Panel back in March of this year. It was one of the first post Covid events that felt normal from an attendance and networking perspective. It was also very encouraging to see the level of interest in the SE Wisconsin market from professionals outside of this region such as Minneapolis and Chicago.
Q) What is a current commercial real estate trend or project that you’re excited about?
A) Generally, I’m excited by the level of industrial development and the diversity of reasons for the activity. All geographies in SE Wisconsin are seeing incredible amounts of both speculative and build to suit projects on on line in ’22-’23. Historically low vacancy rates and rising lease rates are triggering ongoing development in the face of rising hard costs and supply chain challenges. With a little bit of easing on hard costs, I predict a long runway for the continued boom in the industrial segment!
