On Wednesday, April 24th CARW hosted the Wisconsin Retail Conference at the Harley Davidson Museum. Over 200 attendees joined us to network, visit various roundtables and hear from our keynotes & panelists before enjoying a cocktail and networking.
We kicked off the morning with a great set of well-attended roundtables with speakers on a variety of topics led small group discussions and info sessions.
Thank you to Chris Walton & Anne Mezzenga our keynotes, for hosting their “Fast Five” in retail live from Milwaukee. These keynotes spoke about what’s new and on the rise in retail. Technology and automation were key to them as they spoke about Google Lens, drone delivery, Amazon’s just-walk-out technology, and more! You can learn more about their Omni Talk Podcast HERE.
We wrapped up the day with a presentation on technology in retail with Chris Domrzalski with Placer AI, which led to a panel discussion with Chris, Ari Michaeli from Baceline & Adrian Deasy with Octane Coffee. Andy Hunt of the Vieth Center for Real Estate at Marquette University led the discussion on what it takes to be successful in the ever-changing retail real estate environment. Whether it is a flexible business model, technology, or site selection – all of these factors play into a site’s success or failure and our panelists told us what is working for them.
