On Thursday, September 30th 2021, CARW welcomed NFL Hall of Famer, Super Bowl Champion and commercial real estate professional Emmitt Smith, CCIM to the Fiserv Forum for our CARW Rainmaker Event & Retail Conference. The Fiserv Forum provided an amazing venue and Emmitt’s words were relevant, inspiring, humorous and captivating. We heard about his experience on the field and in the office growing his commercial real estate business E.Smith Legacy. Thank you to Mark Kass of the Milwaukee Business Journal and Vince Vitrano of Today’s TMJ4 for leading the Q&A. Emmitt also joined us prior to the main session for a conversation on community development and diversity and inclusion. DCD Director Lafayette Crump led a Q&A to gain insights on what and how Emmitt views opportunities for small and minority-owned business.
In addition to our fantastic keynote, we hosted a panel of local retail experts. Thank you to Dave Schwartz of Innovative Construction Solutions, Tom Maas of Landmark Credit Union, Amy Levin of Next Realty, Peter Glaser of CBRE, Joe Kleiman of Mid-America Real Estate and Kevin Schmoldt of NEWMARK for the great conversation around the current state of retail in Wisconsin.
