Transportation funding is at the top of the priority list for CARW members. As such, we have engaged in advocacy efforts related to the establishment of a sustainable funding solution for Wisconsin infrastructure needs. Those efforts have included engagement in the DRIVE coalition, leadership in the conversation around the I-94 enumeration, and dialogue with legislators and other decision-makers. As a result, CARW members have been able to articulate the importance of infrastructure funding, to the long-term viability of Wisconsin’s growth and the economy. The efficient movement of goods and people is at the heart of a vibrant economy. However, there is a growing consensus the U.S. is not keeping up. Not to be left behind, many states are making the investments to position themselves for growth.
