MILWAUKEE – Commercial Association of REALTORS® Wisconsin (CARW), the voice of commercial real estate, is pleased to announce the organization’s 25th Anniversary Celebration. The event took place on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the new Pavilion at Discovery World with more than 400 commercial real estate professionals and community leaders in attendance.
Proclamations from the Governor, Mayor of Milwaukee, County Executive of Milwaukee, and County Executive of Waukesha were given acknowledging that July 26th, 2018 was CARW’s 25th Anniversary Celebration.
“We have come a long way as an industry and as an organization over the past 25 years,” said Ben Adank, CARW Chairman. “We want to celebrate our members’ impact on the greater economic development landscape, and recognize their work together to move our community forward.”
Attendees heard from speakers Alex Lasry, Milwaukee Bucks; Tim Sullivan, REV Group; Mark Hogan, WEDC and Mark Irgens, Irgens. Each spoke to the importance of commercial real estate to Wisconsin’s overall economic success. The event was emceed by Steve Scaffidi of WTMJ.
CARW also announced that the organization will establish a program to award Leadership Grants for commercial real estate professionals to further their education in commercial real estate. “The grant program is being established to honor the past chairmen who have led the organization over the past 25 years,” said Steve Pape, CARW Vice-Chairman. “We want to ensure that the leaders of the future will have opportunities to obtain industry designations and further their continuing education so that they stay remain in our industry and in Wisconsin.”
Past chairmen in attendance included, Jim Barry III, Bill Bonifas, Barry Chavin, Pete Slezak, Curt Pitzen, Tom Shepherd, Bill Quinlivan, Stephen Provancher, Paul Galbraith, Scott Furmanski, John Czarnecki, Dan Jessup, Scott Revolinski and Scott Welsh.
