CARW leaders continue to seek ways to support members and the economic development community and have recently joined an active coalition, spearheaded by the MMAC (Metropolitan Milwaukee Area Chamber of Commerce) seeking to reverse the recent reclassification by the EPA.
On January 16, 2025, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reclassified SE Wisconsin’s ozone nonattainment status from moderate to serious. While the goal of improving air quality is one we all support, this reclassification brings considerable challenges for the business community in our area. As such CARW will closely monitor the activity and look for opportunities to engage members and elected leaders on solutions.Ā If you’d like more information, please contact Tracy Johnson.
