Adequate housing for workers who make $15 to $30 per hour is increasingly hard to find due to a combination of factors, including aging housing stock and rising construction costs. The lack of affordable workforce housing not only makes it difficult for these workers to save money and get ahead, but it also makes it difficult for communities to attract the businesses that need these employees. The Milwaukee Business Journal recently sat down with local experts to talk about the workforce housing challenge and what can be done to address it.
