I joined the team at Korb Architecture as an intern in 2022. Following my graduation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023, I became a full time Interior Designer. I work on a variety of project types including corporate, mixed use dwelling, and hospitality. As a designer, I create the spaces that people live their lives in. I am passionate about creating a built environment that is not only beautiful, but inclusive and empowering for everyone.
What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
I enjoy collaborating with a wide variety of disciplines. My work has involved close collaboration with developers, architects, engineers, contractors, and property managers, each of whom brings a distinct approach and set of priorities to a project. I learn something new from each of these interactions, and it makes every project an exciting learning opportunity.
Where did you grow up?
I was born and raised in Mequon, WI.
What’s your favorite place to travel to?
I love traveling to big cities. I like trying new restaurants and visiting museums wherever I go.
What made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
In school, I found myself especially drawn to commercial projects. I was fascinated by the potential to shape spaces that serve many people and meet a wide range of needs. Working on projects such as housing for college students facing homelessness and community wellness centers helped me understand the real social impact that thoughtful commercial design can have. These experiences showed me how design can make people feel safe, empowered, and welcome. It also showed me how commercial spaces, when done right, can be inclusive and accessible to all.
What do you hope to get out of your NextGen Experience?
As a NextGen participant, I hope to deepen my understanding of the roles I collaborate with regularly and learn more about those I interact with less frequently. By expanding my knowledge of the different practices, I aim to strengthen my ability to work more effectively and efficiently within diverse teams.
