Q) What do you enjoy the most about commercial real estate?
A) I enjoy how each investment opportunity is unique, whether that’s on the asset management or acquisition side. Each building presents its own set of challenges, which makes it a fun and rewarding puzzle to solve in finding the right approach for our team. Even when an acquisition isn’t the right fit, I value the experience because each opportunity offers lessons I can carry forward when evaluating new opportunities.
Q) Where did you grow up?
A) I grew up in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin right along the border of Wisconsin and Illinois.
Q) What’s your favorite place to travel to?
A) My favorite place to travel is Greece. I have family there, so visiting is always fun and special since we don’t get to see each other often.
Q) Which projects are you involved in/most excited about?
A) Currently, I am working on the company’s second industrial fund, which has been a really exciting opportunity. This second fund has a broader geographic reach, allowing me to gain exposure to new cities and markets we haven’t previously invested in, which has been both rewarding and educational.
Q) What made you choose Commercial Real Estate?
A) Growing up, my dad and grandpa invested in a variety of real estate ventures throughout Southeastern Wisconsin, which I found fascinating. Seeing Kenosha develop into an industrial hub over the years, while being so close to both Chicago and Milwaukee, sparked my curiosity about the real estate world. Later, at the University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Business, I was encouraged to try their Real Estate Program, which led me to add the major and ultimately discover Commercial Real Estate as an exciting and fulfilling career path.
Q) What do you hope to get out of your NextGen Experience?
A) I hope to build new connections and learn more about the many areas of Commercial Real Estate. Meeting peers who are also new to the industry and gaining exposure to professionals in different specialties will be a great opportunity to broaden my perspective. Ultimately, I want to come away with a stronger understanding of how the different career paths in real estate connect and how I can grow within the industry.
