Alana Sherard Holmes, most known as Lanie, is a community-focused executive real estate strategist with over 15 years of diverse experience in residential real estate. Recognized nationally as an entrepreneur and thought leader, she is deeply committed to closing economic disparity gaps and transforming communities through operational excellence and strategic leadership through her organization Holmes University. Alana’s career highlights include over 15years+ of property management experience overseeing a portfolio of more than 400 residential properties owned by her family. She has also demonstrated her dedication to community service by fundraising $100,000 and serving over 24 schools in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Dallas, Texas, through board leadership roles.
Since 2015, she has served as the CEO of Holmes Personal Care Agency, providing essential home healthcare solutions to Southeastern Wisconsin. With expertise in executive leadership, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), entrepreneurship, and consulting, Alana has made significant contributions to various organizations and initiatives. She is an active member of the Commercial Association of Realtors WI (CARW) and the Milwaukee Real Estate Investors Association (REIA). Additionally, she currently serves as the President of the R.Life Community Organization and has held leadership positions in several other community-focused organizations.
Alana’s professional experience spans across various roles, including CEO and Project Manager at Hers Construction, CEO and Lead Designer at Luxurious Stays, President and Lead Facilitator at Holmes University, and Chief Operating Officer at H Investments. She specializes in distressed properties and turnkey solutions for rental income and profitable resale.
Alana’s journey in real estate began at the early age of 8 at her grandfather’s W.J. Sherard Realty Co., where was the Property Manager/Acquisition Manager, demonstrating progressive leadership and strategic vision. She holds an Associates in Commercial Real Estate from Marquette University and an Associate of Applied Science in Business Management from Milwaukee Area Technical College.
Fluent in both English and German, Alana brings a global perspective to her work, emphasizing the importance of communication and collaboration in building successful real estate ventures. As a passionate advocate for community empowerment and economic development, she continues to make a positive impact through her leadership, mentorship, and commitment to operational excellence.
